Welcome to the online home of the 4X4 International Fellowship for Rotarians.

We are a group of Rotarians who are passionate about the beautiful outdoors, and about travel. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to share our passion for off road adventure with like-minded fellow Rotarians.

Travelling off road in Southern Africa opens up marvelous opportunities for wildlife observation. We therefore felt that the Rhino Sanctuary would be a perfect beneficiary for any funds received.

We have listed some of the tours that our members have been on, to give an idea of what is available in Southern Africa, but we anticipate assisting our members with designing their own tours. We welcome submissions from members who would like to host a tour in their own country.

The purpose of this Rotary 4 x 4 International Fellowship shall be…
To explore the outdoor in a 4 x 4 vehicle with the purpose of creating long lasting friendship and fellowship opportunities, advancing international understanding, goodwill and peace united in the ideal of service, while experiencing and conserving nature for future generations. An opportunity to increase Rotary Membership the world over whilst having fun and meeting Rotarians at various clubs.

This Rotary 4×4 International Fellowship shall operate in compliance with Rotary International’s policies for Rotary Fellowships, but it shall not be an agency of, or controlled by, Rotary International.

An African safari is an experience beyond comparison.   We live in a continent like no other and your next off-roading will unlock your travel dreams. To explore wide open spaces,  majestic mountains, green forests,  a big wilderness with game, blue sky’s and lots of stars, particularly those who never venture out of town, is an open invitation from the 4×4 International Fellowships for Rotarians.  Africa has long captured the hearts and minds of the adventurous.  Join Rotarians and combine fellowship while testing your driver’s experience and ability. See nature in all its beauty and enjoy a safari through Africa.

The Rotary Fellowships Committee has recently voted to officially recognize the 4X4 International Fellowship for Rotarians as a Rotary Fellowship.
The aim is to explore the outdoor in a 4 X 4 vehicle with a purpose of creating long lasting friendship and fellowship opportunities, advance international understanding goodwill and peace united in the ideal of service, while experiencing and conserving nature for future generations. Membership in the 4×4 International Fellowship is open to all Rotarians, family members of Rotarians, program participants and alumni.

This latest fellowship will create networks for 4 x 4  Rotary enthusiasts around the world. Showcasing and mapping various outreach and services opportunities, including the opportunity to stimulate tourism and create jobs.  Activities will include: Bush drives, camping, lodging, tracking, photography, painting and engaging the local communities (in outreach programmes outlined above).  It could also ultimately be used as an opportunity to increase Rotary Membership the world over. Trips could also be personalised according to interests.
